Changing the skyline . . . our new roof!

  1. It looks like you are off to a good start. I commend you for doing the hard work of installing a new roof on your own. We are thinking of doing a similar thing with our home, it’s an older family style two-story house that could do with a better roof, do you have any suggestions on how to start?

    1. I wish we could take the credit but we went through Home Depot, who subcontracted to All Star Roofing. Home Depot offers a "lifetime" guarantee which we hope will hold true for our lifetimes, as neither my wife nor I ever want to climb up there . . . that puppy is tall!

  2. Wow! It is hard to believe that the skyline changed that much! What a gorgeous roof that is too. Were you nervous at all before the job was completed? We have been wanting to get a new roof on for awhile now and these pictures may have just tipped our decision into doing so. Thank you so much for posting these photos!

    1. You are most welcome Franklin. We are very pleased with the outcome of this new roof would recommend Home Depot/All Star Roofing. We had to have the drip edge custom bended so it would fit right against the pioneer fascia/woodwork. Interstate roofing did this for us.

  3. It seems like you have done great work on that roof! We decided to do our roof a couple of years ago. We asked a friend that had some roofing experience to help with the flashing around the chimney. What a terrible idea! There was a huge leak and it all had to be redone! Just a cautionary tale!
